This was a week long trip up to the Broughton Archipelago on the north side of Vancouver Island, BC. who has lived in the area his whole life collecting, in his words, &#8216;sea junk&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; We came out from behind a small island and they were right there, slowly moving back and forth, feeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"1280\" src=\"https:\/\/bluesuncraft.talkat.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_3541.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2012 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>We found this beautiful sign, warning us about an aggressive seal.  We were a little skeptical at first but spoke to some of the tour guides later and it&#8217;s accurate &#8211; this angry seal will attack you.  Keep your distance. There are hundreds of tiny islands that are fun to paddle around, whales, seals, and, at least as late in the season as we went, quiet.
